Though Bracken started as a way for Hood's Chris Adams to further search the observational soil he had kickoff touched upon in 1997 under the cognomen Downpour, as he began on the job in his cellar studio in Leeds, he shortly realised that something different -- slower, and more contemplative -- was coming out instead, and decided to go with it. A creation member of N.Y.C.'s electronic music vista, Richard Bone started his vocation by writing music for off-Broadway theater productions (victimization homemade processors), and has worked with neo-legendaries Lenny Kaye and Reeves Gabrels. In 1980, he united Shox Lumania, but soon went solo and released a string of singles on Chrysalis Records. He has produced singles for Rubber Rodeo, composed original music for award-winning cable television and broadcast television, and has been involved in the medicine video production of his own work released on the observational Sony in the early '80s. His intriguing, ambient works continued into the '90s, culminating with 1999's Hip, which featured a jazzy atmosphere. Many of his releases were put out by his have Quirkworks label.

Jamie Lynn's Baby Countdown!

As Britney Spears continues her recovery in L.A. � going to the gym,
the recording studio and taking occasional acting jobs (her guest appearances on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother could earn her an Emmy nod) � her little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge have been preparing for the arrival of their baby girl.

They've moved into their new home in Liberty, Miss., the town where Casey grew up and most of his family still lives. It's only 30 minutes from Kentwood, where mom Lynne Spears lives at Serenity, the estate Britney owns and where Jamie Lynn was raised.

The couple's new $300,000 house has four bedrooms, a large yard and a swimming pool, something Jamie Lynn told OK! was an absolute essential.

"I love to swim," she said of her favorite exercise. Britney will get a tour of Jamie Lynn's new home but will stay at Serenity with her mama, Lynne. Although she'd love to visit for an extended time, she'll return to L.A. after just a few days.

"Britney will almost certainly have to juggle some of her visitations with her kids while she's off seeing her sister and new niece," an insider tells OK!. "She's not going to want to miss too many of those."

But don't think the singer isn't chomping at the bit to meet her new little niece!
Sources say Brit is set to hop on a chartered jet as soon as she knows that Jamie Lynn, is in labor and has already packed her bags.

Ever since Britney, 26, made a quick visit to her hometown of Kentwood, La., on May 3 for her 17-year-old sister's baby shower, the girls have been in regular contact, mostly texting, about the pending birth of Jamie Lynn's baby girl.

While there are no plans for Britney to be in the delivery room, she hopes to make it to Louisiana before Jamie Lynn delivers.

"As soon as she knows Jamie Lynn is in labor, Britney and her dad will be on a plane," a source close to the family tells OK!.

The aborigines' troth came to the prow on 1987's Diesel and Dust, the Oils' breakthrough record book; sparked by the hit single "Beds Are Burning," the album reached the U.S. Top 20 and made the band a menage commodity. After bassist Dwayne "Castanets" Hillman (ex-Swingers) replaced Gifford, Midnight Oil returned with 1990's Blue Sky Mining, which they followed with a concert outside of the Exxon corporation's Manhattan offices in protestation the company's handling of the Alaskan oil color slop. (A film of the operation highborn Blackened Rain Falls was later released, with net profit loss to Greenpeace.) The album World and Sun and Moon appeared in 1993, followed three years later by Breathe. Midnight Oil next resurfaced in 1998 with Redneck Wonderland. The Real Thing, only available in Australia, followed in 2001. It was a solid accumulation of new songs and live tracks from Midnight Oil's glorious work at the Metro Theatre in Sydney. Capricornia, issued on Liquid 8 in springiness 2002, marked the band's fourteenth album of their vocation. In December, Peter Garrett announced his split from the isthmus after 25 years. The producer of one of the biggest dance hits of the '90s, "I Like to Move It" -- summation a 6 other Top 20 hits in Great Britain -- Reel 2 Real is masterminded by Erick Morillo, a New York DJ wHO sought to aggregate the energy of Latin-house music with reggae rhythms and textures. Morillo, wHO is of Columbian and Dominican heritage, began DJing in his early teens and studied production at New York's Center of Media Arts. After working on remixes for several reggae singles, he teamed up with a toaster, the General, for "Muevelo," a platinum-selling single popular in Latin communities. Another heavy mover on the dancefloors, "The New Anthem/Funk Buddha," brought him the attention of the Strictly Rhythm pronounce. Signed to the pronounce and introduced to the Trinidad-born vocalist Mad Stuntman (aka Mark Quashie), Morillo formed Reel 2 Real and released the group's first individual, "I Like to Move It," in 1993.


By the following year, the single had exploded on the world's dancefloors, spawning the Displace It! album. The LP did well on the charts, and produced quaternary British hit singles. Morillo continued to DJ and released the shuffle compilation Alive & More in early 1996. Before the end of the year, Reel 2 Real had released its secondment album, Are You Ready for Some More?, with vocal contributions from Michael Watford, Barbara Tucker and Althea McQueen, among others. Morillo gained a higher profile that year after providing DJ duties for MTV's Singled Out. Hercules And Love Affair play Liverpool Sound City

Hercules and Love Affair brought the third day of Liverpool Sound City to a close last night (May 29) by transforming the city's Barfly into a massive disco.

Although main vocalist Antony Hegarty was not present, back-up singers Nomi and Kim Ann filled in with no problems, as the crowd danced away to tracks including 'Athene', 'Blind', forthcoming single 'You Belong' and closer 'Hercules Theme'.

Producer Andrew Butler, playing keyboard, stayed at the back of the stage during the set, letting his singers and trumpet players take the limelight.

The night was not without problems however, Late Of The Pier and Esser pulled out at the last minute, consequently changing stage times and confusing gig-goers.

This meant the Barfly was empty up until ten minutes before Florence And The Machine's supporting set, although her energetic performance quickly caused the venue to fill up.

Tearing through 'Girl With One Eye', single 'Kiss With A Fist' and covers including the Cold War Kids's 'Hospital Beds' and Mystery Jets's 'Flakes', she won over the audience with a spirited performance.

Meanwhile downstairs at the venue The Fields, Telepath and Four Tet filled in for what would have been a Late Of The Pier headline set.

Liverpool Sound City concludes tonight (May 30) with acts including Hot Club De Paris, Robots In Disguise and a closing set from The Wombats at Liverpool's St George's Hall.

EastEnders bosses to axe Mickey and Keith

'EastEnders' is to axe son and stepfather duo Mickey and Keith Miller because bosses at the soap feel the characters have "run out of steam".
The characters - who have been played by actors Joe Swash and David Spinx since 2003 and 2004 respectively - were told by executive producer Diederick Santer on Friday that their contracts would not be renewed.
A friend of 26-year-old Swash told The Sun: "He and David were told their characters had run out of steam by 'EastEnders' boss Diederick Santer. Joe was stunned at first. He's loved playing Mickey and felt the fans still enjoyed watching his antics."
The friend added: "But he soon realised if the stories weren't there, he didn't want to be just going through the motions. He's now thinking over his next move carefully. He doesn't want to become just another former soap star."

Sam Sparro to play last-minute gig

Sam Sparro is to headline a last-minute gig tomorrow night (May 30).

The singer will perform at the Camden Barfly in London with support from Attic Lights and Winners.

The bands will also be joined at the venue by various DJs.

Sparro's 'Black And Gold' recently reached Number One in the UK Singles Chart.

Besides being a crucial DJ and the output magician partially responsible for for the development of Chicago acid-house, DJ Pierre later influenced the sound of New York's more disco-fied house with his tenure as an in-house producer for Strictly Rhythm Records. Born in the Chicago suburbs, Nathaniel Pierre Jones was influenced by the Hot Mix Five, the pioneering DJ team which lit up Chicago's radio airwaves during the early '80s with dance megamixes. Jones later began DJing himself, though he favored the sound of Italian disco to the blending of person and American disco which Chicago DJs like Ron Hardy were playacting out. When his friend Spanky brought him to the Music Box to listen Ron Hardy in person though, Pierre was convinced -- he began spinning records more kindred to the burgeoning house level-headed as well. DJ Pierre began recording on the side with Spanky and another protagonist named Herb J, working on tracks with an honest-to-goodness barrel political machine and synthesizers.


One of the synthesizers in their studio was the Roland TB-303, a bass-line generator introduced only in the past few days only already a relic littering junk stores at inexpensive prices. Irish interest in BBC's new Oliver show

After Saturday's selection show, there is Irish interest in the final two dozen for the new BBC talent series 'I'd Do Anything'.
The winners will play Nancy and Oliver in the upcoming West End revival of the classic Lionel Bart musical 'Oliver!'.
Jessie, 18, from Kerry, Niamh, 17, from Northern Ireland, and Rachel, 26, from Northern Ireland, are the three female Irish contestants competing to play Nancy. Gareth, 12, from Derry, is among the dozen Oliver hopefuls.
As with previous BBC hit musical talent searches 'Any Dream Will Do' and 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?', 'I'd Do Anything' will be presented by Graham Norton and feature Andrew Lloyd Webber, Denise Van Outen and John Barrowman as judges.
The producers have also added writer, actor and Dame Edna Everage creator Barry Humphries to the judging panel.
Irish contestants have had success on the show before; Galway native Aoife Mulholland was famously fourth to Connie Fisher in 'How Do You Solve  A Problem Like Maria?', and the pair are currently sharing singing duties in the stage musical of the 'Sound of Music' in London.
The first public vote and eliminations will take place on Saturday, 29 March.
